Another Year? Bring it on
Are you okay?
I’ve been trying to write this post for weeks now and I’m having a hard time with it. And I think that’s exactly why: I’m having a hard time. And I think a lot of us are having a hard time. I’ve been looking for some way to tell you that its ok. Some frame of mind to look though. The best I can think of is this:
We are all here… in this same cloudy, murky, place. Together. Is that okay?
How are you taking care of yourself? Did you know that you can ask for help? Do you have people to ask? I’m fried, but I want to help. What are you trying to look forward to?
Another Year? Bring it on.
I’m looking forward to a birthday party. The Storytellers are getting together to help me celebrate, and I hope you can join me. Joining the bill is one of my heroes: Niall Connolly. It’s a bit of a dream to be on the same bill as him and I can’t wait to sit back and listen to him sing the soundtrack of my NYC life.
Dan Saulpaugh should be familiar. He is my own personal guitar hero and not only will he be backing me up on stage as he does in all aspects of my life, he will be bringing a special trio version of his project to the stage. He’s always reinventing his songs. You wont want to miss it.
Eliza and the Organix, are just too damn cool. Playful, folky songwriting with a funk rock sensibility and all the energy of the punk rock bands we grew up with.
I'm looking forward to dancing all night. With you. Together. Is that okay?
